In an attempt to make the reporting process easier for everyone to get through, I am asking that people use the following format to report players.
Part 1- Reporting
Step 1: If possible, put the name of the person you are reporting in the subject line.
Step 2: Give a brief summary of the events that lead up to the report. This will provide people with background information into your current dra....situation.
Step 3: This is important. Copy and paste the rule that you feel is being broken in the report. Then tell us how your case applies to that rule. This is to prove that you have actually read and understood the rules. It also helps to squelch anyone who hasn't read the rules.
Step 4: Prove it. Remember to post a screenshot, chatlog, or anything else that proves that what you say happened, actually happened. Otherwise, no one will have any reason to believe you.
Part 2- Rebuttals
Every story has more than 1 point of view. People posting rebuttals should give their account of the situation, and why they did not break a rule.
Part 3- Spammentary
If you are not involved in the report or do not have something SIGNIFICANT to add, do not post. I am tired of reading "well duh" and having people think it is on topic.
This was part 3, it is kept as a reminder to what it was only. As is tradition in the online world of the internet. People will be allowed to give their -2 cents. However, there's a trick to making posts that won't be deleted that a lot of people don't seem to know. The trick is to keep your commentary strictly on topic to the issue at hand. (Don't tell people though, it's a big secret)
Should you choose to follow these guidelines, it would help make things go smoothly in the ill-mannered reports section.
EDIT: Part 3 Has changed, read it now.
